Mahila Bank signed three health insurance Pacts with New India



Bharatiya Mahila Bank (BMB) signed Pact with New India Assurance Company on 21 February 2014.
The pact aims to deliver three unique innovative health insurance policies for women account holders of the bank. The policies named as BMB-Sakhee, BMB-Nirbhaya and BMB-Parivar Suraksha. The policies will provide customised health insurance package for women. This was the first launch of women centric insurance policies.
The policies are:
•The BMB-Sakhee aimed at rural women and those in the unorganised sector. It will offer a cover up to 50000 rupees a year.
•The Nirbhaya scheme aimed particularly for working women. It offer cover limit up to 5 lakh rupees. It will include insurance for accidental situations unique to women.
•The BMB-Parivar Suraksha aimed to cover the family of the woman account holder of the bank.
All the three policies cover all women whether in the unorganised sector with no maternity benefits, or working and even their families. All the three products would be available soon on the portals of the branches of the bank and mobile applications as part of the women empowerment process.
